Campus Survey

  • 40 percent of respondents said they do not have the marketing tools and resources they need to be successful.
  • The greatest obstacles to more effective marketing are not enough funding (50%) and not enough staff (68%).
  • 86 percent are interested in access to central marketing tools and resources.
  • The majority of respondents fulfill most or all marketing functions themselves. 
  • Outside vendors perform graphic design, web development, video production, research, marketing consultation and advertising strategy and buying at NC State.
  • More respondents felt marketing services should have an associated cost than the number who felt they should be free to campus.
