Collaborative Strategy for Parent Philanthropy

Project Description:

Parents make philanthropic gifts for many different reasons. While their student attends NC State, there are a multitude of touch points and various relationships on campus with parents. This workgroup will develop a comprehensive strategy for philanthropic giving of parents by evaluating how we engage parents in philanthropy with a collaborative approach among various campus partners.

Project Outcomes:

Constructed a list of universal best practices in parent giving and engagement.
Completed a gap analysis, highlighting areas that we can address at NC State.
Created a five-year growth plan focused on prospect strategy, staffing and training, communication and solicitation, volunteerism, and events and stewardship.
Currently, working to lay the groundwork for growth and enhanced collaboration
