Project Description:

We have a tremendous resource in our volunteer leaders. These individuals can help engage, cultivate and steward major gift prospects and donors and many want to do more to help. This working group will identify best practices and develop a model framework for volunteer participation in the donor engagement process (DEP).

The group will explore how to best use prospect strategy sessions and the incorporation of volunteer engagement for prospect development in the discussion. This includes, but is not limited to, engaging governing foundation boards and advisory/deans councils/regional groups (e.g. Charlotte council). The working group should identify ways to incorporate intentional fundraising activity into board or committee meetings when appropriate/applicable as well as to advise deans, CDO’s and other relevant stakeholders on recruitment of board members who are best prepared to assist in fundraising.

Working to align volunteer management in the new CRM
Created draft Lead Volunteer Toolkit that is being used as a template for work in Alumni Engagement as they build out their new shop and how to engage volunteers
